The Haad Yao Community Compound in Koh Phangan, Thailand, is a luxurious tropical villa development comprising four villas, designed with a restricted height limit and low-density footprint. Nested at the top of the island, offering breathtaking views, SSA Architects has meticulously crafted the project with green roofs that gently slope to follow the natural contours of the land. With a total Gross Floor Area (GFA) of 1,600 sqm and 12 bedrooms, the compound includes all the essential amenities expected of such a development, with a strong emphasis on wellness and hospitality. SSA Architects has overseen the entire design process, from the master plan to architecture and interior design, ensuring a holistic approach that delivers a balanced outcome while respecting the island’s natural resources. Adhering to key architectural principles such as elevating the structures from the ground, promoting natural ventilation, and utilizing the green roof for heat reduction and efficient water drainage, the project seamlessly integrates into the landscape. The compound is being developed gradually, with completion expected in 2026.
